The game uses two main resources Money and people, and there's currently no reward whatsoever for expanding in any capacity, you're typically limited to expanding up to the vagrant camps or you'll just lose due to not having enough people and having to travel for miles just to get those few more dudes, expanded by the problem that even with the camps people are a very finite resource (two per day at most, no way to increase it whatsoever) and you can permanently lose people in plenty of ways. You'll come across items, NPCs, and mysterious statues to help you but you'll have to figure out just how exactly they'll aide you in building and defending your Kingdom.No, they did not, and the game is still worse off for it. Kingdom: New Lands asks you to puzzle things out on your own.
